Brian Goble

Chief Technology Officer

Brian Goble got hooked on video game development as a teenager when one of his early games was published and appeared on store shelves. Soon after graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Computer Science, he founded his first company, Monolith Productions.

After building and leading the engineering teams at Monolith, Brian founded HipSoft where he led the design and development of over 20 titles for the emerging casual games space. Many of these games won awards and spawned sequels.

Next, Brian joined Glu Mobile and became proficient in mobile free-to-play design, development and live-ops — gaining deep expertise in the kind of player-driven economies and engagement loops that keep communities coming back. Later, Brian teamed up with Mike Marr to start Rewardify and Hidden Pixel Games where they forged new design and monetization methods in the real-cash-rewards space.

After re-connecting with Kevin Lambert from his Monolith days, Brian joined forces with Mike, Kevin, Tim Jooste and Justin Stewart to form Koin Games — a studio laser-focused on building games with deep collectible ecosystems and living player economies, inspired by the kind of thriving item markets that have made games like CS:GO legendary. With his three decades of game development and entrepreneurial experience, Brian is a driving force behind Koin Games' mission to bring that same excitement of ownership, trading, and collection to a new generation of players.
