With a diverse portfolio spanning over two decades, Don is a seasoned multi-disciplinary designer and concept artist with a passion for bringing imaginative worlds to life. His journey began at Will Vinton Studios, which later became Laika Studios, where he honed his skills in visual development, texture painting, storyboarding, matte painting, and concept art for animated feature films like Coraline, Paranorman, and The Box Trolls, award-winning short films, and dozens of commercials.
Throughout his career, Don has had the opportunity to work with major design agencies like Weiden+Kennedy and other animation and game studios, contributing his artistic vision to projects ranging from AR/VR experiences, trading card game illustrations for Marvel Super Hero Squad, and illustration for various platforms including Meta, Facebook, Instagram, and Amazon. Additionally, Don lent his creative talents to LinksDAO, a global community of golf enthusiasts in web3, where he undertook character design and background design. Notably, the NFTs associated with his designs sold out, marking a significant milestone in the diversity of his work.
In addition to his design work, Don has been teaching dance for more than 20 years, imparting his expertise in Hip-Hop and other street dance and club styles to students ages 5 to adult. He finds joy in giving back to the community through his passion for the arts and continues to inspire students with his creativity and dedication.
